  • Alumina is very effective in the management of various gastrointestinal conditions like constipation, dyspepsia and diarrhoea
  • It can be helpful when there is dryness of the mucus membranes, there is abnormal craving for undigestible things like starch, charcoal, cloves etc
  • It can be effective during constipation where there is no desire or ability to pass stool until there is a large accumulation in the rectum, there is the inactivity of the rectum and the patient has to strain at stool to urinate
  • Alumina also helps in constipation of nursing children from artificial food and bottle-fed babies
  • Alumina is also indicated in fissures when the rectum feels sore, inflamed and bleeding
  • Alumina also has marked action in management of leucorrhoea. Leucorrhoea is profuse, copious running down the heels. Acrid, yellow and excoriating. The discharge is thick, and yellowish, but may also be stringy. Leucorrhoea only during the day, worse during walking or standing
  • Alumina is also indicated in headaches. There is stitching, and burning pain in the head with constipation. The headache is worse in the morning and relieved by food. Pressure in the forehead as from a tight hat

Directions For Use:
  • Adults: Take 4 or 6 pellets by mouth, three times daily or as suggested by the physician
  • Children 2 years and older: Take 1/2 the adult dose
